113 Cops Infected with Coronavirus in Last 24 Hours

More 113 police personnel have tested positive for Covid-19 in the 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the force to 854 across the country, according to a tally of Bangladesh Police Headquarters.

Besides, five members of the law enforcement died of COVID-19.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases.

According to data, 93 policemen posted at DMP tested positive in the last 24 hours, raising the number confirmed cases in the unit to 449.

Besides, 315 are in isolation as they showed COVID-19 like symptoms while 1,250 others, who were in close contact with the infected ones, are put in quarantine, the data shows.
