Corona-Free Districts, Upzilas to Resume Operations Soon

The country's districts and upazilas, which are not affected by the coronavirus, will begin regular activities.

On Wednesday, the General Directorate of Health Services (DGHS) announced that regular activities could be resumed under special management in various upzilas that are not affected by the virus outbreak.

Dr Abul Kalam Azad, Director General of DGHS signed the announcement saying entrance of the outsiders to those areas has to be controlled strictly.

According to the announcement, people have to stay at home to avoid the spread of Covid-19. Nevertheless, the time period for travel has been shortened by two hours. Now people will travel out of their homes for everyday needs from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. But from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., no one will be allowed to exit the house except for urgent needs.

The movement of people from one district to another and from one upazila to another must be strictly regulated. District government and law enforcement officials should treat this very closely.

People and all the authorities concerned shall strictly obey the directives given by the Directorate-General for Health Services (DGHS).
