2 Brothers among 3 Killed in N’ganj Septic Tank Blast

Three people including two brothers were killed in a septic tank explosion at Bandar Upazila in Narayanganj on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Masnun, 13, his brother Jisan, 8, and 8-month pregnant woman Laboni, 30.

The incident took place in a five-story building named "Rabeya Manjil" in the Mollabari area about 6 a.m., said Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge at the Bandar Police Station.

Two minor brothers died on the spot, while six others were injured in the explosion. Laboni died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC said.

However, Bandar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shukla Sarker visited the spot and sealed off two damaged houses.
