340 More Canadians Leave Bangladesh

More than 340 stranded Canadian citizens and permanent residents left Dhaka to Toronto on Sunday.

Qatar Airways, the third special flight arranged by the Canadian High Commission, will land in Toronto via Doha.

To date, the three flights have allowed more than 760 stranded Canadians to return home, with all passengers expected to pay or pay their tickets, the High Commission said.

The Canadian High Commission is evaluating whether there is enough demand for a fourth and final aided flight from Bangladesh to Canada.

The High Commission said Canada is grateful to all government authorities involved as well as Qatar Airways for their continued support.
