Tk 80 Lakh Disappears from National Bank Vehicle

As much as Tk 80 lakh of National Bank Limited went missing from a cash-in-transit vehicle in Old Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

National Bank's Dilkusha Branch Senior Executive Vice President Habibur Rahman filed a case with Kotwali Police Station after the incident.

Police have detained 4 persons so far in the case for questioning.

The detainees are -- the bank executive overseeing the transportation of the money, vehicle's driver and two security personnel.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Mizanur Rahman said an executive from National Bank's headquarters along with two armed guards picked up money from its branches in Old Dhaka on Sunday.
