Saif Powertec Donates Masks, PPEs to Ctg Port

Top terminal operator Saif Powertec Ltd has donated masks, gloves, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and other protective equipment to the Chattogram port.

Tarafdar Md Ruhul Amin, Managing Director of Saif Powertec presented the equipment to Chattogram Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad at a ceremony on Wednesday.

They handed over 500 three-layer surgical masks, 200 rubber gloves, 25 reusable and washable PPEs, 25 medical protective eye-wear goggles and five infrared thermometers.

"If Chattogram port lags behind, it will have a negative impact on the country's economy," said Ruhul Amin.

"We have donated Tk 2 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund, and relief material has been provided to about 2,000 workers," he added.
