3rd Doctor Dies From Covid-19 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh has confirmed the death of the head of the Ibn Sina Hospital's Radiology Department in the city, bringing the number to three.

Dr. Abul Mukarim breathed his last at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital.

Confirming the news, Ibn Sina Hospital Public Relations Officer Shah Forkan said the 65-year-old doctor was tested positive for Corona 10 days earlier and was treated at Ibn Sina Hospital.

Later, he was admitted to CMH for ICU support.

Previously, Bangladesh reported the first death of a physician-Dr. Md Moyeen Uddin, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital-on April 15 and the second doctor, Colonel Dr. Moniruzzaman, died of the novel coronavirus on May 4.
