Coronavirus: Check-Posts Set Up at Dhaka’s Entry And Exits Points

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has further strengthened its monitoring by setting up checkpoints at the exit and entrance points of the capital to strictly restrict the movement of people ahead of Eid-ul - Fitr.

The monitoring system has been further strengthened from Sunday morning, fearing that people's movements might increase during Eid-ul - Fitr, DMP Deputy Commissioner (DC-Media) Masudur Rahman said.  

The DMP has taken the measure so that no one can enter or leave the city without emergencies, he said adding that vehicles engaged in carrying goods and emergency services will remain out of the limits of the restriction.

In this situation, if a person drives an automobile without due cause, appropriate legal action will be taken against him or her.   

In this respect, the DMP seeks the full cooperation of the city dwellers.
