Date-Expired Fire Extinguishers in United Hospital: Atiqul

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam today said that 8 out of 11 fire extinguishers at the isolation unit of United Hospital were date-expired.

He came up with the allegation after visiting the hospital where five people, including three corona patients, died in a fire on Wednesday night.

''Eight fire extinguishers expired a month ago and only three were up to date'', the mayor said.

He said necessary action will be taken if the investigation shows that the hospital was negligent.
