Mashrafe Bin Mortaza Tests Covid-19 Positive

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, former captain of Bangladesh cricket team and incumbent lawmaker of Narail-2 constituency, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Mashrafe has been suffering from fever for the last two days. He gave a sample for the coronavirus test on Friday night. The result of the test came positive today.

His younger brother Morsalin Bin Mortaza confirmed it to media.

"My brother is in home isolation. I urge all to pray for his quick recovery," Morsalin said.

Bangladesh has reported 37 additional deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3,240 fresh infections tested in 14,031 samples in the last 24 hours.

As a result, the death toll of the lethal virus rose to 1,425 and the overall number of infections reached 108,775.
