Coronavirus: Wari to Be Put Under Lockdown

Marking Wari in the capital as 'Red Zone', Dhaka South City Corporation has chosen to put it under lockdown for 21 days to contain the transmission of coronavirus. 

The limitation will be successful from 8am on July 4 which will be in power till July 25. 

DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheik Fazle Noor Taposh said this in instructions after a gathering at Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday. 

He said that the 21-day lockdown will be actualized till July 25. A control center will be set up there, corners will be set up for test assortment and there will be isolation system. 

"Everything will be shut there," the city hall leader said. 

In any case, drug stores and supermarkets will stay open. 

Arrangements will be made to supply daily necessities in coordination with the E-Commerce Association, said Taposh.

Earlier, the Dhaka North City Corporation put West Rajabazar under lockdown from June 10 to contain the spread of coronavirus.
