Coronavirus Cases Near 1,50,000 Mark

Coronavirus transmission keeps worsening in Bangladesh as number of newly infected patients continues to rise simultaneously with death toll.

As of Wednesday, total 3,775 new virus cases were confirmed, taking the total number of cases to 1,49,258.

In addition, 41 patients died from in the meantime, taking the total number of deaths to with a death toll of 1,888.

Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana announced the details during a routine online briefing on Tuesday afternoon.

Dr Nasima reported a total of 16,898 samples were collected and 17,875 tested in the last 24 hours. A total of 784,335 samples were conducted in the country to date.

With 2,484 new recoveries, a total of 62,108 patients recovered from coronavirus to date.
