Dr Sabrina Being Interrogated by DB Police

Detectives are questioning JKG Health Care Chairman Dr. Sabrina Arif Chowdhury at the Detective Branch in Mintu City Road Area.

Md Salauddin, the officer in charge of the Tejgaon Police Station, confirmed the news.

Earlier on Monday, the Dhaka court put Dr. Sabrina on a three-day remand lodged against her for issuing fake Covid-19 test certificates with the Tejgaon Police Station.

Later in the night, the case was transferred to the Detective Branch (DB) of police for investigation.

Police filed a complaint against six men, including Ariful Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of JKG Health Care, and Dr Sabrina 's mother.

However, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) agreed on Monday to begin an inquiry into the charges raised against Dr Sabrina.

ACC has decided to investigate the allegations of Tk 8 crore amassing by Dr. Sabrina, with the help of her husband Arif Chowdhury, by providing 15,460 false corona test reports.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Ministry of Health suspended Dr. Sabrina for her alleged crimes.
