RAB Arrests Regent Group MD Masud Parvez

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Managing Director (MD) of Regent Group Masud Parvez from Gazipur on Tuesday night.

Sujoy Sorker, senior assistant director (legal and media) of RAB headquarters, confirmed it to the daily sun.

He said that a team of RAB-1 held him from Kapasia around 7:40 pm. He was kept in RAB custody, he added.

Masud is the second number accused after Regent Chairman Md Shahed in a case filed with Uttara West Police Station for issuing fake Covid-19 test results and charging patients for the tests.

Earlier on July 7, Inspector Zulhas Mia of RAB-1 filed the case against the duo and 15 others.

The Regent Group chairman, managing director and six other accused were on the run after RAB arrested eight staffers during a drive at Regent Hospital in Uttara of the capital on July 6.
