Shahed’s Accreditation Card Revoked

The accreditation card of Regent Group Chairman Shahed Karim alias Mohammad Shahed has been revoked.

The Press Information Department canceled the card on Sunday.

Principal Information Office Surath Kumar Sarker confirmed the information.

As per the information on the accreditation card, Shahed is the publisher and editor of a newspaper named 'Dainik Natun Kagoj'.

The tenure of the temporary card issued on December 3, 2019, was scheduled to expire in December next.

Shahed is now on a 10-day remand in a case filed over issuing fake COVID-19 test results and charging patients for the tests and treatment, violating an agreement with the government.
