Biman Resumes Flight to Kuwait from Aug 4

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has agreed to reopen its flight operations to Kuwait on 4 August, as well as to raise the frequency of flights on the Dubai route from now on to five flights a week from the current three.

"We agreed to run a planned weekly commercial flight on the Dhaka-Kuwait-Dhaka route next Tuesday, August 4," said Biman 's spokesperson Tahera Khondokar to BSS yesterday.

The national flag carrier will reopen Kuwait 's flight as its fourth international destination, after Paris, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, after the resumption of its nearly three-month suspension of flights on 21 June, due to the suppression of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biman also planned to operate five weekly flights to Dhaka-Dubai-Dhaka from now on, as the airline operated three weekly flights on the route after reconnecting air links between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) on 13 July.

On June 21, Biman first resumed its international flight operation through weekly one flight on the Dhaka-London route by its Dreamliner 787-8 after the suspension.

Biman decided to conduct an international flight by ensuring social gap in the distribution of seats and appropriate aircraft cleaning steps in compliance with the guidelines of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), as well as making updated food service and care kits accessible to all passengers.
