Public Hearing Begins over Sinha Killing

The government-formed Investigation Committee started a public hearing in Cox's Bazar to know the specifics of the murder of Major (Retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.

As scheduled, the hearing started from 10 am Sunday at the Bahachhara Rohingya camp office in Teknaf.

"The process began by registering the names of those who were interested in speaking at the hearing," said the Additional Magistrate (ADM) of Cox's Bazar District Administration, Mohammad Shahjahan Ali, also a member of the Probe Team.

Major (retd) Sinha Rashed Khan was shot dead by police at Shamlapur check post in Baharchhara union on Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive on the night of August 31. A high-level investigation committee headed by the Additional Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong Mohammad Mizanur Rahman was formed to investigate the incident.
