Ex-Major Sinha Murder: Probe Body to Submit Report by Aug 23

The probe committee formed to investigate the killing of the retired major of Bangladesh Army Sinha Md Rashed Khan will submit their report by August 23.

Chief of the probe committee and also Chattogram additional divisional commissioner (development) Mizanur Rahman revealed this information after holding a public hearing at the office of Shamlapur Rohingya Camp in-charge in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar on Sunday.

The four-member body formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs so far recorded a statement of 60 people in the killing incident of Sinha Md Rashed Khan.

Earlier on August 12, Shahjahan Ali, Cox's Bazar additional district magistrate and also a member of the probe committee, issued a public statement requesting people to be present at the office and give their witness accounts.

On July 31, police shot retired major Sinha Md Rashed Khan reportedly for obstructing police work in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar.
