ACC Interrogates Regent Group Chief Shahed

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has begun to interrogate the Chairman of the Regent Group, Mohammad Shahed, to collect details on the crores of taka accumulated by releasing fraudulent Covid-19 findings.

The anti-graft team started an investigation at the prison gate on Monday morning.

Earlier on August 12, the Dhaka court allowed the ACC to interrogate Shahed at the jail gate.

Shahed is accused of earning a huge amount of money through issuing fake Covid-19 results and charging patients.

On 27 July, the ACC filed a case against Shahed and three others with its Dhaka Integrated District Office-1 for the embezzling of Tk 2.71 crore.
