Asking chief executive officers (CEO) of banks to freeze bank accounts for one month, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) issued letters on Tuesday.

At the same time, it has been asked them (CEOs of banks) to send the detailed information, including names and account numbers, of the accounts to be frozen within three days from the date of letter issuance.

The persons whose accounts have been asked to freeze are SP Masud, OC Pradip Kumar Das, film actor Iliyas Kobra, Chumki Karan, Pratim Kumar Das, Pratush Kumar Das, Liakat Ali and Dilip.

It is mentioned that thirty-six-year-old Sinha, who served in the Special Security Force (SSF) and took voluntary retirement from the army two years ago, was killed in police firing at a checkpoint in Cox’s Bazar marine drive on July 31.
