Light to Moderate Rain Likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted mild to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms followed by temporary gusts of wind in most areas of the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet and Chattogram districts, over the next 24 hours beginning from 6 p.m.

The same was predicted for many places in the Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions, with moderately heavy to very heavy drops in places across the country, according to the BMD's regular bulletin.

The well-marked low over central Madhya Pradesh of India and the adjacent area lay over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and the adjacent area.

The axis of the monsoon troughs swept across Rajasthan, the middle of the well-marked medium, Bihar , West Bengal, and Assam through the central part of Bangladesh.

Several of its related troughs stretched to North Bay. Monsoon was active in Bangladesh and high in North Bay, it added.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
