Light to Moderate Rain Likely

The Met Office forecasts rainfall and thundershowers for the next 24 hours beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) newsletter, mild to moderate rain or thundershowers followed by localized gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at most locations in the Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few locations in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions, reports UNB.

In addition, mild to extreme declines are expected to occur in areas in the southern part of Bangladesh.

The well-marked low over the North Bay and the nearby Bangladesh field is now over the Northwest Bay.

Monsoon trough axis passes across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, the middle of the well-marked low to Assam through the southern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is weak in the southern part of Bangladesh and is relatively active in the northern part of Bangladesh and high elsewhere in Northeast Bay.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
