JS Body for Strengthening 'Tathya Apa' Project

Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs has recommended further strengthening the activities of the `Tathya Apa’ project during the coronavirus pandemic.

The parliamentary watchdog made the recommendation at its meeting held at Sangsad Bhaban with the chairman of the committee Begum Meher Afroze in the chair on Wednesday.

Committee members Md Abdul Aziz, Begum Shabnam Jahan, Sayeda Rashida Begum and other officials concerned were present.

The committee advocated for increasing the progress of the work involving local representatives in the 'Tathya Apa' project.

The committee also recommended that the progress of the new organogram of the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs should be presented at the next meeting.

Earlier, the meeting members took part in a doa seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and others killed on Aug 15, 1975 and the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War.
