Bangladesh Declares Mourning Wednesday Marking Demise of Pranab Mukherjee

The government of Bangladesh has announced one day National mourning to be observed on Wednesday (September 2) in honour of former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee who died.

Pranab Mukherjee, a seasoned statesman of Indian politics, died on Monday. He was 84.

A few hours after his death, the government of Bangladesh announced the day of mourning that had been relayed to the press.

The national flag will be lifted at half-mast on that day, according to the sources concerned.

The former President of India, who had tested positive for coronavirus, had been in coma after brain surgery earlier this month.
