On Wednesday, the Dhaka Court granted a petition to a Criminal Investigation Department ( CID) to freeze 58 bank accounts of Md Shahed Karim, Chairman of the Regent Group, and Masud Parvej, Managing Director.
Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge of the Court issued an order approving a petition from the CID, reports media.
Additional public prosecutor Taposh Kumar pal confirmed this.
Earlier, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested him on 15 July on the bank of the Labangaboti Canal in the village of Debhata Upazila in Satkhira.
RAB found evidence of at least 6,000 fake Covid-19 test certificates during the raids.
The next day, RAB filed a case against 17 people, including Shahed, with Uttara West police station. Later, ten other people were also arrested.
