BGB Seizes 3.50 Lakh Yaba Pills in Cox’s Bazar

Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) members recovered 3.50 lakh Yaba pill pieces, worth Tk 10.50 crore, on Tuesday night at Leda Churikhal in Teknaf Upazila of Cox's Bazar district.

Tipped off, a BGB team under Leda BOP conducted a drive about 8:45 pm in the area and challenged a boat carrying some individuals, a BGB handout released on Wednesday said, reports UNB.

Sensing the presence of the border guards, the suspected smugglers managed to flee the spot.

Later, the BGB members recovered the Yaba pills, kept in four plastic bags, from the boat.
