PM Provides Tk 1.75cr Financial Support to Families of N’ganj Blast Victims

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave financial assistance to Taka 1.75 crore to 35 families of victims who died and suffered injuries in an air conditioner (AC) blast in a mosque in Narayanganj Sadar Upazila recently.

“Tk 5 lakh was given as cash support for each of the 35 families of the dead and injured people in the deadly explosion,” PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS.

The Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj was ordered to hand over the Prime Minister's donation checks to the victims ' families, he said. 

As many as 33 people died and several others were seriously injured in the Pashchim Talla Baitus Salat Jame Mosque in Fatullah around 8:45 p.m. after Esha's prayer on September 4.
