Tenure of Dhaka WASA MD Extended

The government has extended tenure of Dhaka WASA managing director Engr Taqsem A Khan for another three years.

Service of Chattogram WASA managing director Engr AKM Faizullah has been extended also.

Both of them have been holding managing director post at the two water supply authorities since 2009.

Earlier, it was rumoured that the tenure of the duo might be extended sparking criticism and mixed reaction by people.

On September 24, a writ petition was filed with the High Court challenging validity of the process to extend the term of Taqsem A Khan who is in the post for 11 years.

Finally, the local government ministry on Thursday extended the tenure for another three years.
