Prime Minister Dr. Lotay Tshering of Bhutan and Foreign Minister Dr. Tandi Dorji of Bhutan sent separate messages wishing Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen a swift recovery.

The Bhutanese Prime said in a message written to Dr Momen on Friday, "I am concerned to hear the news that you (Dr Momen) are not keeping well due to COVID-19 and I send my wishes for your speedy recovery,"

The Prime Minister of Bhutan said he is sure that Dr Momen will recover soon with good medical treatment and attention to resume your important responsibilities, reports UNB.

Bhutanese Foreign Minister Dr Dorji also wished for a swift recovery of Dr Momen in a separate message.

In the meantime, Foreign Secretary Kingya Singya of Bhutan wrote to Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen to wish him a speedy recovery.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen tested positive for Covid-19 recently.

They are now in good health and, following the recommendations of doctors, live in isolation at home, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Both were scheduled to leave for Niger this morning (Wednesday) to attend the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers' 47th session (CFM).

The planned visit was cancelled as they got the Covid-19 test reports on Tuesday.

They went for the Covid-19 test as per rules before travelling abroad but had no COVID-19 symptoms before the COVID-19 test.
