2 Killed in Tangail Road Crash

Two people, including a member of Bangladesh Ansar, were killed and three others injured after a microbus hit an unidentified vehicle near Elenga Jaldo Bridge in Tangail on early Monday.

The deceased were identified as Sabuj Mia and Sanwar Hossain, an Ansar member, reports media.   

Matiur Rahman, sub-inspector (SI) of the Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter to the media.

He said the unidentified vehicle hit the Rangpur-bound microbus on the Dhaka-Tangail highway at 2:00 a.m., leaving Sabuj and Sanwar dead on the spot and injuring three others.

Later, the locals took the wounded to Tangail General Hospital, he said.
