7 Myanmar Nationals Held with 2.8 Lakh Yaba Tablets in Cox’s Bazar

On Tuesday night, members of the Bangladesh Coast Guard in Cox's Bazar arrested seven Myanmar nationals with 2,80 lakh Yaba tablets from the Katabunia area in the Teknaf Upazila Sabrang Union under the district.

Coast Guard patrol crew intercepted a boat near the Katabunia Ghat at approximately 12:30 a.m., said Lieutenant Commander Amirul Haque, Teknaf Coastguard Station Officer, reports media.

Later, the team seized the yaba pills worth over TK8 crores from the boat and detained the Myanmar citizens, he added.

A case was filed in this regard and more details will be disclosed at a press briefing later on Wednesday, said the official.
