Ex-Education Minister Nahid Tests Positive for COVID-19

Former Minister of Education and member of the Bangladesh Awami League, Nurul Islam Nahid, tested positive for coronavirus.

Nahid himself has confirmed the matter to the media.

"I am doing well, and on the advice of the doctor, I am taking treatment from isolation at my residence in the capital," he said.

Nahid, a Member of Parliament from Sylhet-6 constituency, gave his sample on Thursday and the results came back positive for the virus on Friday.

The 75-year-old politician sought blessings of the people for his quick recovery from the disease.
