Airlines Carrying Passengers without Corona Certificate

Despite the strict ban, several airlines including the state-run Biman Bangladesh are allegedly transporting passengers many of whom are not having corona negative certificates.

No airlines are permitted to carry passengers without a corona negative certificate.

But airlines are showing a lenient view on the important health safety issue risking the second wave of COVID-19 across the globe.

More  than 4,000 passengers of various international airlines are being received every day at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA)

Of them, some passengers have been found to be infected with the coronavirus.

In the last one week, at least 17 corona positive patients came to the airport.

Most of the corona positive patients are brought by Saudi Airlines.

Executive Magistrate of Hazrat Shahjalal Airlines fined  Maldivian Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines for transporting passengers without a coronavirus certificate.

The magistrate fined 118 passengers of Maldivian Airlines and six passengers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Chief health officer at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) Shahriar Sajjad said strict measures are being taken to resist transporting passengers without coronavirus.
