Two Rohingya Youths Arrested with Fake Notes

Two Rohingya youths were arrested from Thainkhali in Ukhiya Cox's Bazar, along with counterfeit notes worth Tk 398,000.

The two arrested are- Md Rashid (22) and Pir Md (26).

According to the Armed Police Battalion (APBN),  they were apprehended from the road of the food distribution center at Camp No. 13 in Ukhiya around 6:30 pm on Tuesday.

Hamaiatul Islam, Commanding Officer (CO) of APBN-18, said that APBN received information that two people were staying in the camp with fake money.

On the basis of a tip-off, they raided Thaingkhali Camp No.13 in Ukhiya on Tuesday evening and detained them along with their notes.

He further said that during interrogation, the accused admitted that they had been involved in this illegal business for a long time.APBN filed a case in their name and handed it over to the Ukhia police station.

Their arrest was later shown in a case filed by the police. They were taken to the District and Sessions Judge's Court on Wednesday morning.

The court later ordered them to be sent to jail.
