Municipal Polls: Mayoral Candidates Can’t Spend More Than Tk5 Lakh

Mayoral candidates cannot spend more than Tk5 lakh in the upcoming municipal elections.

After the issuance of the Circular-8, EC has recently fixed the expenditure for mayoral candidates, reports media.

Among the 329 municipalities in the country, the first phase of the polls will take place on 28 December.

The second phase poll in the 61 municipalities will occur on 16 January, while the third phase poll in the 64 municipalities will be held on 30 January.

Election Commission (EC) will declare the rest of the election schedule gradually in several phases.
