3 Killed in Sylhet Microbus Cylinder Blast

Three people were killed as the gas cylinder of a microbus exploded after being hit by a truck in Gopalganj Upazila of Sylhet on Wednesday morning.

The identities of the deceased couldn’t be known yet.

Witnesses said a private car hit the back of the truck around 5:30 am. The gas cylinder of the private car exploded. Three people died in the fire.

Upon receiving the news, a team of fire brigade reached the spot and tried to control the fire for half an hour. Later, the bodies of three persons were recovered from a private car and sent to the morgue of Sylhet Osmani Medical Hospital.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sylhet's Golapganj Police Station Mohammad Harunur Rashid Chowdhury said a team of patrol police went to the spot after receiving the news. The bodies of the three were later recovered and sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
