Vaccination Program to Run from 300 Centers in Dhaka

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said coronavirus or COVID-19 vaccine will reach the country by January 25 or 26.

The vaccination program will begin within a few days after the arrival of the vaccine in the country. Some 300 vaccination centers will be set up in the capital, he said.

Zahid Maleque came up with the information at the 'Meet the reporter's program' at Dhaka Reporters' Unity in the capital on Monday.

He said after necessary training, 42,000 workers are now ready for conducting a vaccination program. These 300 centers will be set up in different hospitals and diagnostic centers in Dhaka.

Anyone less than 18 years old will not get a vaccine firstly. Those who are involved with vaccination will get the vaccine on a priority basis, the health minister said.
