Court Rejects Defamation Case against Sayed Khokon

A Dhaka court has rejected a defamation case filed against Sayeed Khokon, the former Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

The order was passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah when plaintiff Kazi Anisur Rahman failed to appear in court on Tuesday, reports media.  

Plaintiff of another case Advocate Md Sarwar Alam withdrew the case on January 12.

Earlier on January 11, two defamation cases were filed against Khokon with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury.
