Bangladesh Confirms 11 More COVID-19 Deaths

Bangladesh recorded 11 more deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the toll at 8,285.

Some 446 people tested positive for the disease over the period and the number of cases in the country now stands at 541,038.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the information by issuing a press release on Monday afternoon.

The latest day's infection rate was 3.15% of the total tests, though the overall rate in the country to date was 14.01%. The death rate stands at 1.53%.

Meanwhile, 14,138 samples were tested in 210 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. A total of 3,862,254 samples have been tested in the country so far.

Also, 641 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period, raising the total number of recoveries to 487,870 with a 90.17% recovery rate.
