Fire at Rohingya Camp in Cox's Bazar

A devastating fire incident took place at Rohingya camp of Balukhali TV Tower under Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s Bazar, says media report.

Four firefighting units rushed to the spot to bring the fire under control.

The fire broke out at Balukhali camp around 3:30 pm on Monday. Rohingya camp in-charge Mohammad Tanzeem confirmed the information.

He said four units of the fire service at Ukhia station, Ramu station and Cox's Bazar station were working to control the fire.

Rohingya camp additional refugee relief and repatriation commissioner Samchu-Ddauja said the fire broke out at noon in the Balukhali Rohingya camp in Ukhia.

Fire Service, Ukhia Police, APBN, Upazila Nirbahi Officer have all been informed to put out the fire.
