PK Halder's Associate on 5-Day Remand

A Dhaka court has placed Shuvra Rani Ghosh, an associate of Proshanta Kumar Halder alias PK Halder, on a five-day remand in a case filed over the allegation of embezzling Tk 87.6 crore.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special KM Emrul Kayesh passed the order on Monday.

Earlier, ACC deputy director Gulshan Anwar produced the accused before the court seeking 5 days remand.

PK Halder's other associate Abantika Boral was arrested on January 13.

She was arrested as her involvement was found during the investigation into the case filed against PK Halder on charges of amassing wealth illegally and laundering money.
