Ex-Ducsu VP Nur Sustains Injury during Protest

Former Vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students Union (Ducsu), also Bangladesh Students Right Council leader Nurul Haque Nur reportedly sustained the injury during a clash on Thursday.

The incident took place near the Shapla Chattar of Motijheel in the capital during a protest. A Facebook post from Nur's official Facebook page claims he sustained a bullet injury.

Bangladesh Juba Odhikar Parishad staged a protest procession against the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh, where activists of Nur's organization had also joined.

Akram Hossain, the general secretary of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council Dhaka University unit told that 15 leaders and activists were injured in the clashes and six were arrested.
