Arms Case: Indictment Hearing against Golden Monir Apr 13

A Dhaka court set April 13 for holding a hearing on charge framing in an arms case against notorious vehicle and gold trader Md Monir Hossain alias Golden Monir.

Today was fixed for holding the indictment hearing, but acting Judge Robiul Alam deferred the date of the hearing as Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayesh is on leave.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Monir on November 20, 2020, and recovered a foreign-made pistol, bullets, foreign liquor, currencies of ten countries, eight kilograms of gold ornaments and Take 1.9 crore in cash from his Merul Badda residence.

RAB later filed three separate cases including this one with Badda Police Station.

The investigation officer and detective branch (DB) of police inspector Abdul Malek filed a charge-sheet in the case on January 26, 2021.
