31 Highly Covid-19 Infected Districts Identified

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has identified 31 districts as "high-risk areas" due to a higher Covid-19 infection rate in the areas.

The districts are - Moulvibazar, Munshiganj, Chattogram, Dhaka, Sylhet, Narsingdi, Khulna, Narayanganj, Rajbari, Feni, Noakhali, Chandpur, Shariatpur, Laxmipur, Cumilla, Barishal, Rajshahi, Bogura, Narail, Nilphamari, Gazipur, Faridpur, Brahmanbaria, Jashore, Madaripur, Naogaon, Rangpur, Kishoreganj, Natore, Tangail and Cox's Bazar.

A DGHS press release revealed this information on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the country recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases in a day since the pandemic began in March last year.

The country has recorded 5,358 new cases of the coronavirus, taking the tally to 611,295.

In the last 24 hours, some 52 people died of the infection in the country.
