Records 78 COVID-19 Deaths in One Day

Bangladesh set another grim one-day record as the highest-ever 78 more deaths from the novel coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours till Sunday 8 am.

This takes the total number of deaths from the disease to 9,739.

The number of cases rose to 6,84,756 as 5,819 people were diagnosed with the disease as of Saturday.

The country's maiden cases were reported on 8 March last year and the first death from the virus was reported on 18 March.
