512 Destitute Families Get Rice Relief from District Admin in Chandpur

In total, 512 poor families received rice relief from the district administration in Chandpur today.

Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan distributed the rice at Chandpur Stadium around noon today, reports media. 

DC Anjana Khan said, "Some people have been unemployed due to the strict lockdown imposed from April 14 to curb worsening coronavirus situation."

"Many of them are day labourers and so, as a gift from the prime minister we arranged five kg rice for each family," she said.

From now on, the administration will try to continue this relief distribution every day, she added.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Abdullah Al Mahmud Jaman, Chandpur Press Club President Iqbal Hossain Patwari, general secretary Rahim Badsha, among others, were present.
