Hefazat Leader Mamunul Placed on 7-Day Remand

A Dhaka court on Monday placed Hefezat-e-Islam's Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque on 7-day remand a day after his arrest in a vandalism case filed with Mohammadpur police station in 2020.

The investigating officer of the case sought 7-day remand for proper investigation. After hearing, the court granted the plea, reports media. 

Police arrested Mamunul Haque from Jamia Rahmania Arabia Madrasa in Dhaka's Mohammadpur area on Sunday noon.

Mamunul was produced before to the court from DB office on Monday morning.
