Birdem Director Dr Nazmul Islam said that they have begun the process of notifying the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) about the patients.

Dr Nazmul Islam said, "The suspected patient is from Satkhira. He suffered from Covid-19 before. We are in the process of confirming whether he has the black fungus."

"The patient is a 53-year-old man. He was admitted to the hospital on the 17 May with fever and cough, post Covid-19 symptoms," he added.
