Bangladeshi Expatriate Siblings Die Of Covid-19 in Oman

Two Oman expatriate brothers have died of Covid-19.

They were identified as Abul Kalam (62) and his brother Abul Kashem. They hailed from Chikdar union under Raozan Upazila in Chattogram.

They were involved in business in Oman's capital Muscat, reports media.

According to the family sources, the younger brother Abul Kashem died at 10:15 pm on June 2 at Khoula Hospital in Oman while his elder brother Abul Kalam died at 5:50 pm yesterday at another hospital while undergoing treatment. They were both Covid-19 positive.

The elder brother Abul Kalam was living in Oman for the last 38 years with his family. He left behind two sons and a daughter. The younger brother left behind three daughters.

The duo was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of two different hospitals after their condition deteriorated, he said, adding that they died there while undergoing treatment.

The two brothers were buried there after their namaj-e-janaza as there is no permission to take the bodies home.
