To
break the chain of Covid-19 transmission in the district, authorities ordered a
week-long night curfew in three towns and three unions of Narail's Sadar
upazila on Saturday.
In
light of a spike in Covid cases in the three towns and three unions, the decision
was made at an emergency meeting of the District Coronavirus Prevention
Committee on Friday night.
The curfew will be in effect from 6 pm to 8 am in the municipalities of Narail,
Lohagara, and Kalia, as well as the unions of Kalor, Singasholepur, and Bichali
in Sadar upazila, according to Deputy Commissioner Habibur Rahman.
Anyone
found in violation of the limits and Covid-safety protocols will face legal
punishment.
